Welcome; my counselling room is a space to enter where you have permission to Be. Counselling can offer shelter from the storm. Sometimes people come with specific difficulties such as anxiety, trauma, depression, bereavement… sometimes there can be a whole mix of different hurts and confusions. Often we don’t know exactly what we need or why- we just know that a small voice inside is seeking something more, some kind of change that requires a space outside of everyday routine that is safe, protected and trustworthy enough to be true to ourselves within.
It takes courage to enter counselling and so I move forward with you at your own pace. I don’t have a ‘one-size-fits-all’ set of answers: I do have a strong practice of careful, deep and empathic listening alongside a gentle belief that as we build trust between us and risk being ourselves in our different roles, then real change can gradually unfold. It is my role to provide all the conditions needed to make counselling a place where you receive compassion, insight and guidance but most of all space to search within and create your own way forwards.
My therapy room is a peaceful, private space 5-10 mins walking distance from Glastonbury town centre. I work with adults and children, individuals and couples. This can be long or short term counselling, face to face or via the telephone/internet.
I have a standard fee of £45 per session. There are some concessionary spaces available on a sliding scale of £35-45 for those whose personal circumstances require a reduced fee. Please feel free to ask about this.
…a safe space to unfold and Be…
I also offer the opportunity to incorporate Creative Therapy if, when and as you choose. This might involve the use of colour, movement, sound, paint, clay, crafts, sand-play, poetry… whatever you are drawn to that helps you to explore and discover in a warm, non-judgmental environment.
~ “Every human being has the capacity to be creative… what is creative is frequently therapeutic. What is therapeutic is frequently a creative process… using the expressive arts to foster emotional healing… and awaken individual creativity is an increasingly expanding field.” ~ Natalie Rogers ~
